Pengaruh pH Air Pelarut dan Umur Larutan Semprot terhadap Efikasi Pestisida pada Tanaman Kentang (Effect of Solvent Water pH and the Age of Spray Solution on the Efficacy of Pesticide in Potatoes)

Abstract


Dua dari banyak faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan penyemprotan pestisida ialah pH air pelarut dan umur larutan semprot. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kedua faktor tersebut terhadap efikasi insektisida dan fungisida yang digunakan untuk mengendalikan hama dan penyakit tanaman kentang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2015 di Kebun Percobaan Margahayu (1.250 m dpl.), Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran di Lembang. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial dan tiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang enam kali. Macam perlakuan yang diuji ialah: (A) umur larutan semprot (a1: larutan semprot dibuat sehari sebelum aplikasi dan a2: larutan semprot dibuat sesaat sebelum aplikasi) dan (B) pH air pelarut (b1: pH 5 dan b2: pH 8). Pestisida yang digunakan ialah abamektin, spinosad, dan klorotalonil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) larutan semprot yang disimpan hingga 1 hari tidak memengaruhi efikasi insektisida abamektin dan spinosad serta fungisida klorotalonil terhadap OPT tanaman kentang, (2) air pelarut dengan pH 8 menurunkan efikasi insektisida abamektin, spinosad, dan klorotalonil terhadap OPT tanaman kentang, dan (3) tanaman kentang yang disemprot insektisida abamektin dan spinosad serta fungisida klorotalonil dengan pH air pelarut 5 menghasilkan ubi dengan bobot yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanaman kentang yang disemprot insektisida dan fungisida yang sama tetapi dengan pH air 8.

Abstract

Many factors affect the success of the control and two of them are solvent water pH and age of the spray solution. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of age of solution and solvent water pH on the efficacy of insecticide and fungicide used for controlling pests and disease of potato crops. The research was conducted from July to October 2015 in the Margahayu Experimental Garden (1,250 m asl.), Indonesian Vegetable Research Institute at Lembang. The experiment was compiled using a factorial randomized complete block design and each treatment combination was repeated six time. Treatments tested were: (A) age of spray solution ( a1: the spray solution made a day before application and a2: the spray solution made just before application) and (B) solvent water pH (b1: pH of 5 and b2: pH of 8). Pesticides used were abamectin, spinosad and chlorothalonil. The results showed that (1) the spray solution stored until 1 day did not affect the efficacy of abamectin, spinosad, and chlorothalonil against pests and disease of potato crops, (2) the efficacy of abamectin, spinosad, and chlorothalonil at solvent water pH of 8 decreased, and (3) the potato crops sprayed with abamectin, spinosad, and chlorothalonil at solvent water pH of 5 produced higher yield than the crops sprayed with the same pesticide at solvent water pH of 8.
