Efektivitas Fungisida untuk Pengendalian Penyakit Berdasarkan Curah Hujan pada Mawar

Abstract


ABSTRAK. Percobaan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyemprotan fungisida terhadap penyakit penting pada tanaman mawar telah dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Segunung pada bulan September 2002 dan Januari 2003 menggunakan rancangan petak terpisah. Petak utama berupa 2 kultivar mawar, yaitu cv. Holland dan cv. Cherry Brandy, sedang anak petak ialah penyemprotan fungisida dengan interval 2 kali per minggu, 1 kali per minggu, dan penyemprotan apabila terjadi hujan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada musim kemarau (September 2002) di samping terdapat serangan penyakit bercak hitam (Marssonina rosae) dijumpai pula serangan penyakit embun tepung (Oidium sp.) dengan tingkat serangan yang tinggi. Kultivar Holland dan Cherry Brandy rentan terhadap bercak hitam dan embun tepung. Penyemprotan fungisida setelah terjadi hujan efektif terhadap penyakit bercak hitam dan embun tepung pada musim kemarau. Pada musim hujan (Januari 2003), penyemprotan fungisida setelah terjadi hujan tidak efektif terhadap penyakit bercak hitam. Efektivitas perlakuan fungisida tidak saja ditentukan oleh curah hujan, tapi juga oleh jumlah hari hujan.

A trial to find out the efficacy of fungicide application after rain to control the diseases on roses was carried out at Experimental Station Segunung on September 2002 and January 2003 using a split plot design. The main factor was rose cultivar (cv. Holland and Cherry Brandy) and the subplot was fungicide application (twice a week, once a week, and after rain). The results indicated that on dry period (September 2002) both black spot and powdery mildew occurred on cv. Holland and Cherry Brandy. Both cultivars were susceptible to black spot and powdery mildew. Fungicide application after the rain occurred was effective to suppress black spot and powdery mildew only on dry periode. On rainy period (January 2003) fungicide applications after the rain occurred was not effective to suppress black spot. The efficacy of fungicide application was not only determined by rain precipitation but also on number of rainy days as well.
