Pengaruh Enzim Organik Campuran terhadap Kualitas Bibit Bawang Daun dalam Penyimpanan

Abstract


ABSTRAK. Kebiasaan penanaman bawang daun oleh petani di Indonesia menggunakan anakan, induk, dan hampir tidak ada yang menggunakan biji. Pengiriman bibit ke luar daerah sering mengalami kerusakan sebelum sampai ke tempat tujuan. Percobaan ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh enzim organik campuran guna mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap daya simpan bibit bawang daun. Percobaan dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Benih Balai Penelitian Tanaman Sayuran di Lembang (1.250 m dpl), Jawa Barat, pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2005 untuk penyimpanan dan di lapangan untuk tes pertumbuhan. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap untuk di laboratorium dan acak kelompok untuk di lapangan, dengan model rancangan petak-petak terpisah dengan 3 ulangan. Kombinasi perlakuan ada 24, rincian perlakuan terdiri atas media simpan (petak utama): A (A1= pembanding/tanpa menggunakan media/kering, A2=kontrol/menggunakan air, A3=Dufic 0,1 ml/l air, A4=Dufic 0,2 ml/l air), ukuran bibit (anak petak): B (B1=super/ panjang batang palsu >15 cm dan diameternya >15 mm, B2=medium/panjang batang palsu 10-15 cm, dan diameter batang 10-15 mm dan B3=kecil atau pendek/panjang batang palsu <10cm, dan diameter batang <10 mm), lokasi penyimpanan (anak-anak petak): C (C1=tempat terbuka/greenhouse, C2=tempat tertutup/Laboratorium Benih). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa bibit bawang daun dapat disimpan maksimum 6 hari dengan syarat batangnya tidak terendam larutan Dufic 508 dosis 0,1 ml/l air dan bibit yang ukurannya besar mampu menstimulir aktivasi metabolisme sel dalam bentuk rendahnya kerusakan bibit dan berpengaruhnya terhadap partumbuhan tinggi tanaman. Interaksi perlakuan terbaik adalah penggunaan Dufic 508 dosis 0,1 ml/l air dan ukuran bibit super yang disimpan di dalam ruangan tertutup.

Commonly Indonesian farmers use sucker of bunching onion as a planting material and never use seeds. Planting material transportation outside region encountered damages before reached the destination. The objective of this trial was to determine the effect of mixture of organic enzyme (Dufic 508) on bunching onions planting material storage quality. The experiment was carried out in the laboratory of Seed Technology and in the field of Indonesian Vegetable Research Institutes (1,250 m asl), West Java, from August to December 2005. The experimental design was a RBD for seed laboratory study and a RCBD for field test, a split split plot design with 3 replications. The treatment combinations were: keeping media (main plot) (A1=standard/without media/dry, A2=control/used water, A3=Dufic 0.1 ml/l of water, A4=Dufic 0.2 ml/1 of water), B. Planting material size (subplot) (B1=super/length of stem >15 cm and diameter > 15mm, B2 = Medium/length of stem 10-15 cm and diameter 10-15 mm, B3=small or short/stem <10 cm and diameter <10 mm), C. Storage (subsubplot) (C1=open storage/greenhouse, C2=close storage in the seed laboratory). The results showed that the planting material of bunching onion could be kept maximum for 6 days with unsoaked stem, Dufic 508 dosage 0.1 ml/1 liter of water in combination with super size of planting material could stimulate metabolism activation of plant cells described by decreasing of planting material damages and increasing of plant height. Interaction between Dufic 508 with dosage 0.1 ml/l of water, super size of planting material and keep in closed storage was the best.
