Tanggap Pertumbuhan Mawar Mini dan Produksi Bunga pada Berbagai Daya Hantar Listrik dan Komposisi Media Tanam

Abstract


Budidaya mawar mini Rosa sinensis Hort. var. Red Baby Rose pada pot memerlukan daya hantar listrik
(DHL) media dan komposisi media tanam yang tepat agar pertumbuhan dan hasil bunga tinggi. Tujuan percobaan
untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang DHL media dan komposisi media tanam yang tepat. Percobaan diselenggarakan
pada pot dalam naungan rumah plastik pada ketinggian 1.100 m dpl. di Kebun Percobaan Segunung Balai Penelitian
Tanaman Hias, Pacet, Cianjur, pada bulan Desember 2004-Juni 2005. Petak-petak percobaan disusun menurut
rancangan petak terpisah dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan petak utama adalah 3 DHL media tanam >0,35-0,50, >0,50-
0,75, dan >0,75-1,00 mS/cm, sedangkan anak petak yaitu komposisi media tanam cocopeat (1v), arang sekam (1v),
cocopeat : arang sekam (2:1 v/v), (1:2 v/v), (1:1 v/v), dan moss:arang sekam (4:1 v/v). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan
bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi yang berbeda nyata antara DHL media tanam dan komposisi media terhadap semua
peubah yang diamati. Panjang tangkai bunga tertingi (5,54 cm) diperoleh pada DHL media tanam >0,50-0,75 mS/
cm. Tinggi tanaman tertinggi 22,17 cm, jumlah tunas terbanyak 18,60 buah/tanaman, jumlah klorofil tertinggi 45,87
unit, diameter bunga kuncup tertinggi 8,54 mm, diameter bunga mekar tertinggi 4,46 cm, diameter neck tertinggi 1,39
mm, diameter tangkai bunga tertinggi 1,84 mm, produksi bunga tertinggi 9,18 kuntum/tanaman, dan lama kesegaran
bunga terlama 12,38 hari, diperoleh dari komposisi media tanam moss:arang sekam (4:1 v/v). Hasil penelitian ini
bermanfaat sebagai acuan petani mawar mini dan pengguna lainnya

Hort var. Red Baby Rose pot plant need proper media electrical conductivity (EC) and growing media composition
to obtain good growth and high flower production. The objective of the experiment was to find out the best growing
media EC and media composition. Experiment was conducted on the pot in the plastichouse at Segunung Field
Experiment, Indonesian Ornamental Crops Research Intitute, Pacet, Cianjur, West Java (1,100 m asl.) from December
2004 up to June 2005. The experiment was arranged in a split plot design with 3 replications. The main plots was
EC of growing media, namely >0.35-0.50, >0.50-0.75, and >0.75-1.00 mS/cm. While the subplot was 6 growing
media composition, namely cocopeat (1 v), ricehull charcoal (1 v), cocopeat : ricehull charcoal (2:1 v/v), (1:2 v/v),
(1:1 v/v), and moss: ricehull charcoal (4:1 v/v). The results of this experiment showed that there was no significant
interaction between growing media EC and growing media composition in all variables observed. The highest of
flower stem length (5.54 cm) was found in >0.50-0.75 mS/cm of growing media EC. The highest plant height (22.17
cm), buds number (18.6 buds/plant), chlorophyl contains (45.87 units), flower bud diameter (8.54 mm), blossom
diameter (4.46 cm), neck diameter (1.39 mm), flower stem diameter (1.84 mm), flower yield (9.18 flowers/plant),
and flower vaselife (12.38 days), were found from growing media composition of moss: rice hull charcoal (4:1 v/v).
The results of this experiment can be used as reference for mini rose farmer and any other usage.
