Kultivar dan Formula Pupuk pada Pertumbuhan Bunga Potong Anthurium

Abstract


ABSTRAK. Bunga potong Anthurium (Anthurium andraeanum Lind.) mempunyai bentuk bunga yang khas seperti
topi, terdiri dari spathe dan spadix dengan warna spathenya yang sangat beragam, dikenal mempunyai kesegaran bunga
dalam vas yang lama. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memperoleh formula pupuk yang tepat dan kultivar yang baik untuk
pertumbuhan dan produksi bunga potong Anthurium. Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Sere Balai Penelitian Tanaman
Hias (Balithi) dengan ketinggian 1.100 m dpl dari bulan Januari sampai Desember 2006. Percobaan menggunakan
rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama 2 kultivar, yaitu kultivar Tropical dan
Avo Orange, sedangkan faktor kedua formula pupuk, yaitu (1) formula anthura sebagai kontrol, (2) formula Balithi
1, (3). formula Balithi 2, (4) formula Balithi 3, dan (5) formula Balithi 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
jumlah klorofil, panjang dan diameter spadik, serta diameter tangkai bunga kultivar Tropical nilainya lebih besar
dibandingkan kultivar Avo Orange, yaitu berturut-turut 63,96 unit; 5,81; 6,77 cm; dan 4,86 mm. Sedangkan kultivar
Avo Orange lebih cepat inisiasi bunganya, tangkai bunga lebih panjang dengan produksi bunga lebih tinggi, yaitu
masing-masing 45,19 hari, 46,27 cm, dan 19,13 tangkai/petak. Formula pupuk 4 menghasilkan tanaman dengan inisiasi
bunga tercepat, yaitu 49,36 hari, sedangkan formula pupuk 3 menghasilkan bunga tinggi sebesar 18,0 tangkai/petak.
Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi tentang adanya kultivar Anthurium yang produktif dan bermutu baik serta
formula nutrisi yang mudah diperoleh.

of Anthurium Cut Flower. Anthurium cut flower (Anthurium andraeanum Lind.) has spesific flower form like hat
consist of spathe and spadix with variation on spathe color, and has long vaselife. The objectives of this research
were to find out fertilizer formula and cultivars of Anthurium to increase the productivity of Anthurium cut flower.
The experiment was carried out in a Screenhouse of Segunung Field Trial at Indonesian Ornamental Crops Research
Institute (IOCRI) from January to December 2006 at 1,100 m asl. Factorial design with 3 replications was used.
The first factor was 2 cultivars of Anthurium cut flower consist of Tropical and Avo Orange. The second factor was
fertilizer formula: (1) Anthura as a control, (2) IOCRI 1, (3) IOCRI 2, (4) IOCRI 3, and (5) IOCRI 4. The results
showed that chlorophyl number, length and diameter of spadix, also flower stalk diameter of Tropical variety was
higher than Avo Orange, i.e. 63.96 unit; 5.81; 6.77 cm, and 4.86 mm, respectively. On the other hand, Avo Orange
showed faster flower initiation with flower stalk length and flower production higher than Tropical, i.e. 45.19 days;
46.27 cm, and 19.13 flower stalk/plot respectively. Fertilizer IOCRI 4 showed fastest flower initiation (49.36 days)
and fertilizer IOCRI 3 indicated the highest on flower production (18.0 flower stalk/plot).
