Penerapan Teknologi Pengendalian Uret (Lepidiota stigma Fabricius) Pada Tanaman Tebu Menggunakan Mulsa Plastik

Abstract


Pengembangan tanaman tebu di Indonesia saat ini diarahkan di lahan kering. Uret merupakan hama penting pada tanaman tebu yang ditanam dilahan kering. Di daerah endemik hampir tidak ada teknologi yang efektif mengendalikan uret.  Penggunaan mulsa plastik adalah teknologi pengendalian uret yang paling efektif untuk daerah endemik. Pengendalian menggunakan mulsa plastik termasuk teknologi yang cukup mahal, sehingga perlu strategi yang tepat dalam penerapannya.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan strategi pengendalian uret menggunakan mulsa plastik yang efektif dan efisien pada tanaman tebu.  Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan petani di Kecamatan Banyuputih, Kabupaten Situbondo pada bulan Januari – Desember 2016.  Perlakuan disusun menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) tiga perlakuan dengan jumlah ulangan sebanyak delapan kali.  Perlakuan pengendalian uret menggunakan mulsa plastik yang dicoba adalah (1). Penutupan mulsa plastik 100%, (2). Penutupan mulsa plastik 100%, dan (3). Kontrol (tanpa penutupan mulsa plastik.  Pemasangan mulsa plastik dilakukan sehari setelah hujan sebesar > 4 mm.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi pengendalian uret pada tanaman tebu dengan menggunakan mulsa plastik yang paling efektif dan efisien adalah penutupan 100% pada permukaan lahan.  Batas ambang ekonomi sebagai dasar kelayakan penerapan penggunaan mulsa plastik untuk pengendalian uret pada tanaman tebu adalah 27% kerusakan tanaman pada musim tanam sebelumnya.

Application of Grubs (Lepidiota Stigma Fabricius) Control Technology  by using Plastic Mulch In Sugar Cane

Development of sugar cane in Indonesia is currently in dry areas. Grubs is an important pest on sugar cane planted dry land. In endemic areas virtually no technology is effective in controlling grubs. The use of plastic mulch is the most effective grubs control technology for endemic areas. Control using plastic mulch includes quite expensive technology, which requires the right strategy in its application. This study aims to determine the strategy of grubs control using effective and efficient plastic mulch in sugar cane plants. The experiment was conducted at farmer sub-district in Banyuputih sub-district, Situbondo regency in January - December 2016. The treatment was arranged using triple series (RAK) three times with replication counted eight times. The treatment of urethane control using plastic mulch is tried (1). Closure of plastic mulch 100%, (2). 100% plastic mulch closure, and (3). Control (without the closure of plastic mulch) Installation of plastic mulch done one day after rain of> 4 mm The results showed that the use of channels using the most effective and efficient plastic mulch was 100% closure on the surface of the land The basis of the feasibility of applying the use of plastic mulch to control grubs in sugar cane plant is 27% of crop damage during the previous planting season.
